Desmarest’s tanager (Tangara desmaresti) is a petite bird that sports striking colors of green, yellow, blue, and orange. Its vibrant features include a blue forehead and eyering, with an orange breast and green flanks. The belly is a sunny yellow, while the throat has a black patch. This tiny bird measures only 13 cm in length and weighs approximately 21 grams. The bill and surrounding area are also black, completing its unique appearance.
